Chapter One: Stirring Evil
Deep within space an evil as ancient as time wakened. Chaos looked around himself and smirked. He was pure evil now his good and neutral halves disappeared. Unknowingly to him they were reborn as the mate of Galaxia, though that is another tale.
Chaos smiled feeling the universe again and began to find a dark power he could awaken. He searched and he found what he was looking for in the Power Ranger's old foe Dark Spector. He laughed coldly as he breathed life back into the evil.
"Go forth Dark Spector and rebuild you army and find new allies. Enslave this Universe." Chaos spoke smirking evilly. "Don't fail me or you will be gone once more. I made you I can unmake you."
Dark Spector disappeared and began his regathering of his evil army.
The day started pretty ordinary enough... but in the e-mail of sixteen people came a message from an unknown source, asking them to meet where the Command Center stood.
For Jason Lee Scott, this was out of the ordinary, he decided to show up. "I don't know who would pull a prank and send us that kind of e-mail," he thought, "But it seems ordinary enough. So maybe I should be there."
Tommy was staring at his computer and his email. "Hmm looks interesting." He gets up and heads out to meet with destiny's calling once more. He looked forward to the adventure that called his soul.
Kat woke up and found the same e-mail in her inbox. She showed it to Tanya. "Think we should show up?" she asked her friend.
"Lets do it I have a good feeling about this." Tanya said smiling. "A very good Feeling."
So both of them prepared for the day at an honored structure.
And in his e-mail at home, Billy was reading the message. He knew the urgency of the situation. "You will know I'll be there," he said to himself, and prepared to leave the house.
At the power chamber Zordon paced he hoped his rangers, all of them would come. For he would need their assistance to gather the newer ranger teams. For there was an evil on the horizon that would shadow the entire universe. Zordon could not believe Chaos was running rampart once more awakening evil that should sleep.
Finally, the first started to arrive... and it was Billy and Jason. "It's good to see you alive, old friend," said the first Ranger Commander.
"Glad to be here Zordon." Billy said. "You were the one to call us here?" He looked at Zordon and Jason wondering who else would come out of the woodwork to answer the call to arms that Zordon issued.
"Yes," the Ranger Mentor told them, "I was the one who used the Power Chamber's computer to send out the e-mail to all of you."
"That's amazing," Jason said, "I didn't expect the Power Chamber to have a massive e-mail server- but it does."
"Expect the unexpected." a new voice drolled out. Tommy came forward from the shadows. "Well seems three have shown. How many did you email Zordon?"
"All sixteen of you," he replied, "I hope the others have the decency to check their e-mail." He smiled at the three young men standing before them. From the look of them none had let their training slid. He was glad for they would need that strength for the battle to come.
"Well we did." Tanya said as she and Kat showed up. Kat barely acknowledged Tommy's or Jason's presences. "So thats two more."
"And you've had better add me to that," Aisha added. She stood with the other two girls very happy to be with the others again.
"As well as Us." Rocky and Adam both showed up at the same time. Both with huge smiles on their faces.
As Kat walked over to him, Tommy suddenly moved away from her. "Tommy," she asked, "What's wrong?"
Tommy eyed the young woman in pink before him. "I don't want to talk about what is in the past Kat." His voice brooked no argument and held a hurt that tore at Kat's heart for she knew that herself and another had caused that hurt.
Just then, Kimberly arrived and tried to walk over to Tommy. "Is there something wrong, Tommy?" she asked.
Tommy inwardly groaned having them both there was going to strain things. "I don't have anything to say to you either Kim." Tommy's voice tight as he walked away from both his former lovers. He sighed sanding with his arms crossed readying himself for the emotional strain that would come while working with them.
Kat restrained Kim from going after the retreating male. "Kim," Kat told her, "Let's leave him be. He doesn't want to talk to either of us."
"But I can't just let him bottle himself up," Kim said. She felt helpless with the pain Tommy was feeling.
"Don't worry about Tommy, Kimberly," Zordon said, "This crisis is going to take all of your skills and then some."
Slowly, the remaining Rangers arrived with T.J. and the others in the company of Andros, Karone and Zhane. "T.J. showed us the e-mail, Zordon," Andros said, " We're ready to assist you."
Jason touched Tommy's shoulder. "You will be ok Bro?"
"Eventually I will be." Tommy said as Jason drew him back to the others. Jason kept himself between Tommy and Tommy's former lovers.
Finally, all were present and Zordon told of the crisis at hand...
"What many evil magicusers couldn't pull off," he started, "An entity did... Dark Specter's been resurrected by Chaos... and he's reunited all the members of the UAE, adding some new members to it- including someone so evil, he couldn't believe who he got himself into."
"Who?" asked Tommy voicing the thought that was on all in the rooms minds as they looked at Zordon.
"He's a DarkNinja Master named Lothor," Zordon said, "As much as I want to get him off the path, he's elusive enough to deal a devastating blow to the others."
"That does not sound good at all Zordon." Jason said. "Are there any Ranger teams that are active?"
"You really want to know?" Zordon asked not really suprised by their questions. He eyed his power rangers all former for the power had left them all a long time ago.
"Yes!" They all chimed at the same time causing quite a few laughs rippling though the power chamber.
"Lightspeed Rescue, WildForce and NinjaStorm," Zordon told them, "They're all 6-member squads."
"Eighteen more Rangers." Billy said amazed as he quickly put together the numbers in his head.
"We've also got two present-day agents of TimeForce in Silver Hills," Zordon added.
"Twenty Rangers." Kat said awe in her voice. "Who will go after them?"
"Thirty-six rangers once they get here. Or when they get here." Kimberly said. "Who is going to gather then as well?"
"Hold your horses," Zordon said, "That's only two." Zordon paused gathering his wits for their enthusiasm was infectious. "They're in the present day. The remaining four agents are in the year 3000."
"And don't forget that the six of us are still active," Andros said gently reminding Zordon of a fact that the mentor of the power rangers was forgetting in his call actions.
"I almost forgot that the LightStar rangers were still going," Zordon said, he smiled lightly. For his mind was in full gear with planing that he did not take in all the facts quick enough. That and there were a few unknown factors he did not know of that would come forward to help his Rangers.
"Oh this is going to be the undertaking Zordon." Tommy said watching the Power Ranger's mentor. "Who will be going where? For we cannot all go."
"Tommy is right in that." Jason agreed. "We would prolly scare off the Rangers if we did that."
"I'm sending Rocky, Aisha and Adam to Silver Hills," Zordon said, "It's close to Stone Canyon, and you should get in touch with Wes & Eric there. Kim, Kat and Tanya, you're headed to Turtle Cove and try to reach someone in WildForce. Billy, I'm sending you to Mariner Bay to try to contact LightSpeed. Tommy, you and Jason will head to Blue Bay and hope to reach anyone with the NinjaStorm there."
"Sounds good." Jason said. He looked forward to getting in on the action again. He caught Tommy's eyes knowing his spirit brother felt the same.
"What do they look like Zordon?" Tommy asked. "Or do you not know?"
"I don't know," the mentor replied, "What I do know is that Wes & Eric lead the Silver Guardians. So find one of their SUVs and stay out of the way until they're finished."
He also said that the Lightspeed Aquabase has a surface entrance near Mariner Bay's main harbor- and that Billy will have to use his old Coin Morpher to id himself there.
"Girls," he addressed the three girls there, "Get in touch with a woman named Taylor, she should get you to where WildForce is. Jason and Tommy, head for a shop in Blue Bay called STORM CHARGERS. That's where the 4 guys from NinjaStorm work at."
"Let us move out." Tommy said, all the rangers named nodded and all took off o their respected destinations.
Arriving in Silver Hills, Rocky and company were just driving along in his jeep when they came across a bank robbery. "The last I knew is that whenever crime went down, the Silver Guardians would be here," Adam said.
"Well then lets wait." Rocky said. Not realizing that they would soon be in danger from the bank robbers.
Suddenly, two black SUVs arrived and out poured a ten man squad equipped with the needed weapons. Rocky notice the ones in the black and red berets. "Black beret is Eric," he said, "Red beret is Wes."
Adam nodded both still unaware of the danger they were in. For their eyes were on the Silver Guardians. They were not expecting what was going to happen next.
But just then, Rocky heard a scream- as a man with a knife held it against Aisha's throat. "You get my companions and drive us out of here," he said glaring at the two young men.
Rocky and Adam looked at each other, then back at Aisha. "Let her go." Adam said quietly. He was not going to give in to their violence or threats.
But suddenly, the man's three companions ran out and literally tore the three out of their jeep, using it to make their getaway. Wes punched his fist into his palm and gave a grunt. Eric ran up and said, "You three okay?"
"We will be." Adam sad softly. "Aisha are you ok?" Helping the young woman in question back to her feet.
"I'll live," she said dusting herself off. She then looked at the two young men before her and asked, "Are you two Wes Collins and Eric Meyers?"
The pair looked at each other, then back at the three standing there. "Yes we are." Wes said looking at them. "Who are you and why do you need to know?"
"I'm Rocky deSantos," The one in the red shirt said, "These are my friends Adam Park and Aisha Campbell- and we need you two to come with us." He then showed them his Zeonizer as proof of their mission.
Wes looked at Eric. "Well Eric?"
"If this mission is of vital importance to the world," Eric said, "Then we've got no choice. Get another vehicle out here."
Turning to one of their team, Eric ordered them back to headquarters to begin debriefing,
"So you'll return with us?" Aisha said smiling glad that they would not have to argue with the two to get them to come.
"Let's just say being part of the legacy taught us something," Wes told them, and the two members of TimeForce had a good laugh.
The three nodded. "How long before we depart once more?" Adam asked.
"We'll take one of our two and let the others get the new one," Eric said, "We're leaving immediately... and Rocky, would you be so kind as to drive us to our destination?"
"My pleasure," Rocky said, smiling again since the jeep was stolen.
Billy drove up in his jeep, he was in Mariner Bay. He moved his jeep to where Lightspeed Rescues underwater base was. Showing his power coin he asked to see Capt. Mitchell and Carter Grayson.
He was lead to a debriefing room where he sat and waited for the two to show. He hoped they would be willing to come. He sighed and cleaned his glasses unaware he was being observed by the other members of Lightspeed rescue team.
"Billy Cranston?" Capt. Mitchell said, "Are you sure?"
"If he's here, a crisis involving more Rangers is surfacing," Carter Grayson said, "We're going to need to see what's involved."
Billy continued to wait feeling uneasy with every passing minute for he knew in this gathering time was of the essence. He could almost feel it slipping quickly away. He waited calming for the two he needed to see to appear.
Finally, Capt. Mitchell and Carter Grayson walked in and shook hands with the senior Ranger. "How is it we can help you," the Captain replied.
"I am here on behalf of Zordon. A new evil has brought forth Dark Spector once more and he is gathering all the foes of the power rangers in one large group." Billy explained to the two. "Will you all be willing to come and join us in the defense of the world itself and not just Mariner?"
"Crisis that calls for all of the Rangers is a big undertaking, Mr. Cranston," The Captain said, "And I've read on the legendary mentor of the Rangers in Angel Grove. I'm going to put the Rangers in his hands. I hope that you will resolve this."
It was just then that Ryan Mitchell came in and explained what the other four were doing. That they were jealous of just them seeing the legend. "Even Ms. Fairweather's jealous of seeing Billy here," he remarked.
"But why?" Billy asked confused a little by this statement. For he never considered himself enviable.
"It's because you're the first Blue Power Ranger," The Capt. said, "Chad Lee's our Blue Ranger, but he's a recent generation. Because you was the first, you hold the highest regard here in the Aquabase."
"Oh now I see." Billy said smiling. "When do I get to meet the others?"
"Ryan," Carter said, "Go ahead and bring the others in here."
"Of course, Carter," he said, he assembled the remaining team into their presence.
To the assembled ranger team in frount of him. "Hello I am Billy." He looked at them. "I hope you all will join me in this mission to defend our earth."
"We're always dedicated to the defense of Earth," Carter said, "It doesn't matter if we don't want to. We need to. Lightspeed Rescue is now under Zordon's command."
"But first," The pink ranger said, "Allow us to introduce ourselves. I'm Dana Mitchell," She replied, "and I'm the Pink Ranger."
"Joel Rawlings," The next one said, "I'm the Green Ranger."
Each of them introduced themselves until the Blue Ranger remained. Chad Lee said, "I guess you already know about me." He smiled lightly at Billy
Billy nodded smiling at his fellow Blue ranger. After the introductions were made all around Billy nodded. "Ready to go."
The Lightspeed Rescue team nodded.
In Turtle Cove; Kat, Kim and Tanya pull up in Kim's pink convertible. They parked at a park and began to look around for Taylor. The girls had been given a description of the uniform and what her color was.
Tanya sighed she could not wait to meet another fellow yellow ranger. It would be good they scanned the park.
All were a little frustrated at their inability in finding who they needed to talk too. They were walking back to their car when Kat was knocked own by a young boy.
"Oh." He looked at her. "I am sorry i knocked you down." He smiled at her.
A female voice shouted. "Kite." Then sighed jogging over to Kit and the former rangers. "Kite, didn't I tell you its rude to knock people down."
Kite sighed. "I didn't mean to Taylor." He paused. "I apologized already."
Taylor sighed and helped Kat up. The young woman felt familiar to her though she could not place a finger on why.
"Taylor, we are Kat, Kim and Tanya." Kat said motioning to each friend. Her blue eyes took in the wild force patch on her shoulder. She showed the young woman in yellow her coin morpher. "We are friends and we need to speak to your fellow warriors."
Kite smiled. "Told you they were coming."
Taylor sighed. "Come with me to the Animarium."
Inside the Animarium, Taylor brought the three before Princess Shayla. The three looked around at the beauty of the island that floated in the sky of the earth. Glad that it was cloaked and the evil could not find it.
"Princess Shayla." Tanya spoke up once more. Surprising her fellows by taking up the spokesperson role. "We have come here baring bad news. Where are the other Rangers?"
"We are here." A male voice spoke. The remaining WildForce rangers looked at the three young woman. The young man in red spoke again. "What brings you here?"
Merrick crossed his arms and watched them a bit coldly. He was unsure if he trusted these women. He stood near the Princess guarding her yet not appearing too.
The others took seats around while Tanya explained the crisis at hand and why they were needed.
"We will go Rangers." Princess Shayla spoke up. She placed a hand on Merrick's shoulder. "I need to go too Merrick. Extra hands will be needed to keep this large group moving smoothly."
"Princess." Merrick said softly concern in his voice.
"I am going. The pool brought the news a few moments before you appeared." She looked at Merrick and then the rest of the rangers old and new. "This is bad. But we must ban together to keep out world safe. Let us go, the Animarium will take us to the command center. Your car is over there."
The rangers old and new nodded.
In Blue Bay Harbor Tommy pulled up his red jeep. Jason looked around spotting Storm Chargers. "There is Storm Chargers." The pair side stepped beach goers making their way to the store.
Going within they started looking around. They found the store was geared toward the extreme sports person. That made Jason smiled. For he enjoyed a good snow boarding. He knew that Tommy like to snow board himself, though neither skate boarded.
They picked up a few things to buy for their next snow boarding excursion. Stopping by the magazines a voice startles both of them.
"May I help you?" A young man dressed in yellow looked at Jason and Tommy. "Dudes, I see your into Snow boarding."
"Dustin." A young woman in light blue came up. "Isn't it punch out time for you, Hunter and Blake. We need to get moving."
"Tori we have ten minutes and I am trying to help a costumer." Dustin sighed looking at the two young man. "I am sorry about my friend." Tori went back to her place on the sofa with Shane they were watching a skate boarding video.
"Thats alright we understand better then you realize." Jason smiled he added three snow boarding mags to his pile of stuffs. "We are ready to check out now."
"Cool." Dustin said he motioned over to the register where a blonde young man wearing crimson was ready to ring them up. He was giving them a look.
Tommy felt like he knew something was up and this was not really a social call to buy things. The former red ranger could feel the power from the teenagers in the room. He noted another young man in red sitting on the sofa with the girl in blue named Tori. There was another young man in navy that came out and looked at them before heading over to the sofa and getting hugged by the blonde.
"We're surprised to find all five of you here," Tommy said, "We were wondering if we could hang out with you."
"Dude, why would you want to hange out with us?" Dustin asked looking a bit confused.
"Who are you?" Hunter asked getting on the defensive. He placed a hand protectively on Dustin's shoulder.
It was then that Tommy showed them his Zeonizer and Jason showed them his Power Coin.
The five teens looked at each other. Shane heard his morpher beep at him. "Cam this better be good. We are in the middle of something."
"I know you are." The green samurai spoke calmly "Bring the two you just meet to NinjaOps now." Cam said practically ordering the five around. "Father said to bring them immediately." Knowing that seeing it was Sensei's orders the five might come quickly even though it was true. His Father wanted all seven in NinjaOps post haste.
The crew nodded. "Come on." Shane said. "Seems your expected."
"Then we'll shadow you guys in our jeep," Jason said, "It will work for the best."
The five teens nodded and they all went out side and into their respected vehicles. The five teen in a blue VW bus and Jason and Tommy in Tommy's jeep. Following the teens. "Why do I get his feeling they are not going to be the easy ones?" Tommy asked Jason as they followed the five in their van.
"You've got me, Tommy," Jason said, "But then again, it was easier for us than it will be for them adjusting to the one legendary mentor."
Tommy nodded as they followed the bus wondering if the teens were pranking them for they had already left Blue Bay Harbor behind and were now into the mountains.
They watched as the van pulled over in an odd spot the teens climbed out and waited for them to join them.
Upon joining them parking their red jeep next to the blue van. They all trooped into the woods in eery silence. They came to a lake and a waterfall. The teenagers stepped on the water then looked at the pair behind them.
"Coming?" Tori asked softly.
But suddenly, the two were enveloped in white energy and teleported through the waterfall. "I have the feeling these five don't even realize that we're of different Ninja Master," Jason said.
Hunter glared at the spot were the two were standing. "Show offs." he grumbled. Blake looked at his elder brother in concern. hunter's legendary temper was smoldering with both Tommy's and Jason's presences.
Tori muttered. "Alphas."
Blake smiled suddenly realize that is what it was. It was bad enough watching Hunter and Shane feel each other out all day doing their alpha wolf dance. Now those two were added in. He wondered how many more would be added to the Alpha wolf list.
The other four nodded and disappeared into NinjaOps knowing that Tommy and Jason were already there.
Hunter glared at the two then took his usual spot at the table not looking at the new comers.
Tori and Blake both looked at him with a little concern. For Hunter's volatile temper was legendary among the NinjaStorm Rangers.
"Are you ok Bro?" Blake asked. Hoping his voice would calm the elder thunder Ranger.
"Hunter?" Tori asked him softly. Looking at him as Blake gave her a soft hug. She could feel his concern for Hunter.
He just looked at them both they could see barely concealed and barely controlled rage there.
"Just stay calm Bro." Blake asked his brother.
Hunter grunted.
"But understand that these two are not Ninja of the Elements," Sensei said, "They are Ninja of the Spirit. Jason Lee Scott, the Red TyrannosaurusRanger; and Tommy Oliver, the Red ZeoRanger- you are welcome in our midst."
Dustin sighed. "Dude.....umm Sensei, what is going on?"
All eyes went to Sensei to listen to what he had to say. Even Hunter watched his tiny mentor.
"I think it would be best if we let the two Veteran Rangers explain it all," The Sensei said.
It was then that Jason started it out. "A terrible evil has been reawakened by Chaos; DARK SPECTER. And this time, the original nineteen Rangers will not be enough to stop it."
Shane and Hunter looked at each other and Shane spoke. "Who else are you gathering if nineteen rangers will not be enough?"
Tori, Blake and Dustin all looked at each other. A cold shiver threatened them but they did not give in to it. Tori had the worse feeling over what Jason just said. Though she could not find her voice to speak it.
"Lightspeed Rescue and WildForce," Tommy said, "As well as you six. Which includes Cameron as well. Two Agents of TimeForce will also be there- and we hope to bring the other four agents back from the future as well."
"Dude. Chaos?" Dustin said confused.
"Chaos is a terrible entity, Dustin," Sensei told them, "But it isn't life threatening. There is a legend of one person has defeated it before, but we're not certain if she exists. Or if she has been reborn. For it happened so long ago."
"Legends." Tommy said softly his mind in a tailspin. He knew the others felt the same though none would admit up to it.
"And from what we understand," Jason added, "Lothor is a new member of the United Alliance of Evil. So he is no longer your enemy, but ours as well."
Cam groaned. "That is just what this world needed."
"Ahh Dude." Dustin agreed shaking his head. "That is so not good."
Hunter shook his head. "Where are we needed to go?"
Sensei sighed. "I will also be coming with you. Zordon will need help with so many Rangers."
All Tommy did was bring his Zeonizer to his mouth and said, "Zordon, nine to teleport directly to the Power Chamber."
In a flash of rainbow light, all nine were brought to the command base. Their cars waited outside for them, as well as the Mobile Ops Semi.
Hunter looked around. He felt the others pressing around him the old safety in numbers. They gazed around themselves taking in all that was there.
"It is good to see you, Sensei," Zordon told him- and it was then that Ninjor spotted his old friend. "Good to see you," he said.
"I am a bit stuck in this present form." Sensei said gruffly. "I am glad to see you both. Introductions are in order."
The groups all introduced each other and Sensei found himself amused by the rangers. He could see the budding friendships all around him. It made him happy to see them all together.
This gathering was only the beginning for the gathering of the forces of good. For there were Legends awakening, the senshi were stirring. For the Rangers would need these powerful allies in their fight to keep the world safe from the evil that was threatening it.
