Chapter one: Running

Packing a bag quickly in her room, her anger boiling away in her ears. Shi Tomoe packed to get away from her sister and her boyfriend. Said male had picked a fight with her. Which of course got Shi yelled at by Hotaru. Which was his intention any way.
For Ki was smart. He knew if he caused the two siblings to fight that Shi would leave them alone. He did not realize how badly it was driving Shi away.
'I am so glad Sensei taught us to plan ahead.' Shi inwardly sighed as she though to herself. 'Getting that beach house in Blue Bay was a fantastic idea. Now I have a place to go after these fights. I am not coming back all week-end. Hell with them right now.'
She disappeared out her window. Not feeling the need to confront her sibling and Ki over her leaving. Padding softly she tossed her bag in her jeep. 'No tears. Tears are for over emotional idiots.' Shi managed to convince herself not to cry while she drove.
Her anger was hot and steaming. Storm clouds rolled over the town of Killan's Harbor even though the one that caused them was on her way elsewhere. It was one of the worse storms they had in a while.
On Shi's radio a song began to pour out. Celine Dion's Drove All Night. It made her smile in all her anger. 'Would be nice if I did have some one like that to meet. But no and is a male really worth all the heartache attached to them. I just don't know.'

Upon arriving on Blue Bay Harbor, Shi parks at the beach. She walks and finds herself a quiet spot were she hoped to be unnoticed as the tears ran down her face. Her mind also went to the dreams she had been having about Hunter Trejo. They were boarding on erotic now. Shi smiled though her tears for her dream talks and what was happening in her dream space was the only thing to keep her going.
A familiar voice invaded Shi's hearing. "Shi?"
Turning Shi realized it was Hunter. His blond hair wild about his head from the soft wind tossing it around, "Hunter?" She ran to him. Which was highly unusual for her and threw her arms around him, hugging him closely and letting her tears fall. Even though she knew it was him.
He hugged her tightly she could feel his anger at her crying. So she pulled herself together. She looked at him suddenly glad of her odd height. "I hate fighting with them." Shi then explained to Hunter what has been going on at home.
Shi had spotted the angry flash in his eyes. Though the dark haired beauty recognized that gleam. She knew she got it as well when she was angered.
They walked down the beach together and enjoyed the moonlight over the water. Shi showered Hunter with tales of life in Killan's Harbor which was six hours away.
Hunter laughed. "I cannot believe you drove six hours to get here."
"I did." Shi said softly. "I plan on coming up here every week-end from now on." she smiled up at him. Looking down at her watch and clicking the button she gasped. "Oh let me get you home."
Hunter nodded and Shi drove him home. She kissed his cheek and watched him go. Driving away after he was safely inside. Shi began to make plans for returning up here every week-end.
She got back to her beach house and began her morning run. She would sleep later after she did her training retinue. Shi for once felt spirit light.
