Chapter One
It was another night, another concert for the Hong Kong Cavaliers. This concert was special, though. Tonight they would meet their contest winner.
One lucky fan stood in the audience.
One lucky fan blended in with the others.
As the last song ended, the band's pretty boy, Perfect Tommy, smiled to himself. He knew that the contest winner was a girl. He imagined how cute she might be.
The Hong Kong Cavaliers walked off stage, still hearing the thundering applause that they knew would last for several minutes.
"Man," Perfect Tommy exclaimed, "I'm exhausted!"
"Don't get too exhausted yet," Buckaroo Banzai warned him, "we still have our contest winner to meet."
As if on cue, two guards walked backstage with a teenage girl.
Tabytha Knowles was fourteen years old. She was five ft. two with waist-length blond hair. Perfect Tommy immediately noticed how pretty her blue eyes were.
Tabytha had won tickets to the HKC concert, as well as a week at the Banzai Institute. How did she win? Tabytha made a model of Perfect Tommy (her current crush) out of clay and things she found in her family's recycling bin. She had seen a poster advertising the "HKC Creativity Contest," and just had to enter her mini-version of her favorite band-member.
"You must be Tabytha Knowles," Buckaroo Banzai greeted her.
"Yes, sir," Tabytha replied shyly.
Perfect Tommy was disappointed when he saw how old she was, but thought she was cute anyways. He waited for her to simply fall to his feet and worship him, like he thought every girl should.
"Oh, wow!" Tabytha cried, "You're Tommy Boy! I never, ever thought I'd be lucky enough to meet you!"
Tommy Boy smiled and talked to Tabytha for a few minutes while Perfect Tommy scowled at the fact that he wasn't being worshipped yet.
Next, Tabytha bounced over to Knuckles and tried to hug her all-time idol.
"Kid," Knuckles tried to disentangle herself from Tabytha, "what kinda crud are they feedin' ya out there? You've been eatin' too much candy or som'thin!"
Tabytha saw everyone else in the band, finally got to Perfect Tommy, and fainted.
"What are y'all looking at me for!" He exclaimed, "I can't help the effect I have on women!
