MY CAREER

I have been playing the drums for about 10 years now. My Dad, a drummer, influenced me into drumming. We had no drumset at that time, only a snare drum and some cymbals. So, I just assembled those and just imagine a bass drum, air-kicking, trying to synchronize it with my playtime. At that time, I was into bands like Rivermaya, Eraserheads and Oasis. We would cover some of their songs, with my sister, who's into guitars and singing. I was so into drums at that time that, everytime I hear some of my favorite songs, I would play air-drums together with some head-banging.

When I got into high school, this when I found my band. (I'll just copy-paste the band's profile/history I made for friendster aight?^^)

"Formerly known as "Groundzero" back in hs. We started jamming together back when we were in our 1st yr high(1998) in UST. Originally, Groundzero was formed by 3 members(Lemon,Jeck & Greg). We would cover songs from RATM,Blink,Oasis,Teeth,Wolfgang, etc. We played good, but not that f*cking good.. So we tried to practice more at HAVOCS studio near Lemon's place(man that was one hell of a deep-sh*t-hole together w/ ye ol f*cked up instruments!). After countless practices, Paolo, who's sometimes jamming with us, was eventually welcomed to the band. But unfortunately, just as we are doing good and improving, Greg left the band. Leaving us with Lemon, Jeck and Paolo. It took us time to adjust, but after quite sometime we got use to it. The next year(1999), Nelson and Reagan was introduced to the band. By that time, the band consists of Lemon,Jeck,Paolo,Nelson and Reagan. Now that the band is complete, we decided to take exposure. We started playing on the activities in our school. It gave us the experience to play live on stage on a live audience. First, we're kinda f*cked up nervous but after some time we got used to it and its f*ckin GOOD.The RUSH is good.

After highschool(2002), we hardly saw each other any more because of different scheds and some f*cking excuses. We still practice but not that much and not together(with other bands). Because of that we have learned many things in our different musical fields. We began to like our own genres of music and influences(fortunately the music still coincides)

After a year or so(around 2004), we decided to regroup the band and also change the band's name to Sabaw ng Ipis.

Now, with our own kick-*ss instruments and proper trainings and disciplines, we're back with confidence and more power to play. Sabaw ng Ipis! sabawan na toh taena! \m/"

(Right now, Sabaw Ng Ipis was changed to S N I, due to some uhhhhh difficulties in bars? err food? But, you can still call us Sabaw Ng Ipis if you want to.)

Ok back to my career. Up to now, I'm still with my band SNI..Although there are some who had to leave, SNI is still as good as before..Maybe better..And we're still rockin'rollin! Anyway,  If you want to know gig updates of SNI, add the SNI friendster account(email: [email protected]) or join the yahoogroups: [email protected].

Ok so there. I think this is pretty much it. My career in drumming. I'll try to include some mp3s and videos of me and my band on this site maybe sometime in the future.
