Recommended Dosage and Benefits of Betacarotine

Recommended Dosage--The initial recommended dosage for CFIDS and immunodeficiencies is 50,000 units daily for two weeks and 15,000 units daily thereafter for maintenance.

Betacarotine is another important antioxidant for treatment of chronic fatigue and immunodeficiencies. It is usually converted to Vitamin A. However, individuals with hypothyroid conditions (ex: Hashimoto's Thyroiditis) seem to have a lower than normal convertion.

Betacarotine, once converted to Vitamin A, helps to strengthen the skin and mucous membranes to help prevent germs from penetrating through them. It may also prevent damage to DNA and cell membranes.

Adding this supplement may help lessen the amount of infections and should help to speed the recovery process of certain illnesses, such as viral and bacterial infections.
