All of my plans for Saturday have fallen through. No more Karla, no Krista. Krista burned her hand pretty well and has an excellent excuse. As well as planning on coming down in a week or two. That should be fun. I don't know what I will do tomorrow though now. Shall I still go to Summerfest? I will have to see if B wants to go, otherwise maybe I will just go down on Sunday for awhile. Stay late and see the Femmes play, if I don't get wiped out before then. It's bound to be a long day.
Had hoped to hang out at B's house tonight for awhile, but that fell through. Still had a good night though. Watched some TV, talked to an old friend for a few hours. Well, more than a few hours actually. I think we talked until about 2. Very nice.
And that was my Friday. Not too terribly great, but not that bad either. I kept hoping for a surprise visit from a special someone, but I know her well enough to know, deep down, that she won't show. Once she makes up her mind, it doesn't get changed. It's too bad, but at the same time, I don't think I would care as much for her were she any different. Part of that unconditional crap, I guess.
Brewers lost. Oh well, they weren't that bad though. Fighting a bit more than they were a few weeks ago. So.
Packers training camp starts this month. Could I be happier? Yes, the regular season could be starting tomorrow. That would be a beautiful thing. But, I can wait a month or two. Part of the beauty of football is waiting for it to start and watching the offseason come together. And, as we've all seen the Packers had a decent offseason. Imagine trading in Antonio Freeman for Terry Glenn. A slight upgrade there. NO. A HUGE upgrade. If only Glenn can keep his mind together. Things will be great. Very exciting.
