Lately I have found a website, it is devoted to John Byrne, who is probably my favorite comic book writer/artist. The interesting thing about it, is that he regularly contributes to the site. I mean daily. He is always posting his art, talking about it. Sometimes making a critical statement, etc. It's an interesting way to grow closer to someone that you idolize in some respects. And the site is so big that I could immerse myself in it for weeks without really getting through nearly everything.
I do miss having a comic store. I have 6 more years to start one again-my goal was to be going again by the time Nathan was 16. I haven't done all that much to that end, except keeping up to date with the developments within the industry and occasionally talking to various friends about financial backing. But its more than likely going to be something that I'll have to come up with the money for myself. 6 years is a lot of time though, so I'm not terribly worried.
Was asked to get mulch, but right when I got home there was a cool thunderstorm. Oops! Lol.
Speaking of weird coincidence. The other day I was thinking about my old friend Mike, and my old girlfriend Stacey. Today I drove past the house since I was in the neighborhood. Saw some people working in the yard, drove by, came back, noticed the whole back of the house was charred, and all the windows were burned out, the roof was bare charred rafters. I asked someone when it happened, and he said he thought it was Friday. I think that's when I had those thoughts of them. Weird.
Oh, and my old apartment is for sale again. By the same realtor that sold it to my wonderful landlord. Funny, guess he decided being a landlord wasn't "it" for him. I could have told him that!
Work. Payday. That's a good thing. I worked part of the day as one person, then the other part as another person. Too many hours. And then I found out Dairy Queen had closed. How disappointing. Leaves Taco Bell and McDonald's as the only fast food in the area. Rough.
