Listening to my Violent Femmes CD, and planning my day. It is really the morning of the 4th. I went to Nathans game right after work yesterday and got home just before 10. I went to bed, thinking I was tired enough to sleep. Instead I end up online talking until after 2. Wow. Now it is 8 in the morning and I feel like crap again. So . . .
I am writing this entry and then making breakfast. Doing all the dishes that I have neglected these past few days. Then. Hmm, oh yeah, the parade goes by three blocks from here, I'll go see that. And post pics from this past weekend of my birthday, and from Tuesday of Summerfest and Bar, and then last nights game. I have to delete some old pics though. I have reached my memory limit for this website and can't move to the new server until later this month. Bummer.
This afternoon, I go to Summerfest and hang out with Ken for awhile. I can only imagine the crowds. Going to make more of an attempt to get good pics than I made on Tuesday. And see if I can follow through on this Bet/Dare that Bonnie made me.
The rest of the week looks like it might be ok. The plans had crashed when things went bad with Karla early this week, but everything is still on, and Saturday looks like it will be a great day to be at Summerfest, cooler and less humid, and more people I know showing up. Still . . . I wish Karla were. Agghh!
I'm listening to my Violent Femmes CD again. The songs on that first album were all so excellent, and so touching. Lost love. So much fun too. What are they playing, three instruments? I remember them busking on North and Farwell when I was a kid. Seeing them play on the corner with a crowd of 100 or so, mixing up sets with the BoDeans. Hmm, hadn't thought about Lori Anderson in a long time. She lived down there and used to go to all of those things with me. Wonder what ever happened to her?
