Today I built. A wall. A wall I should have done right the first time, but it was damn cold out that day, so I didn't measure. This time it was hot. And so, I measured. Twice. And sweated more.
Also, I talked today. To a number of people. All of the usual suspects though. Had a couple of beers, relaxed a bit. All a normal day, but still pretty busy. Read some email about myself. Email that at times frustrated me, but most of the time just felt good. Nice to have people care about you. And the people who were talking about me obviously do. One of them I have known this for a long, long time. The other I know, and trust, but sometimes wonder. It was nice to have the affirmation in front of me. Gave me that tiny bit of confidence back. The tiny piece I was missing. Now, however, I will be unbearable! Ha!
A note of frustration from yesterday. Joanna, my favorite patient, never showed. But, Mary, another whom I have known for months did. In fact, she came in on Thursday. A day early for her appointment. Once again, boys, pretty does not equal intelligent! So, Friday she arrived on time and everything was great. I had her chart all set for her. All she had to do was present the $20 that I had reminded her of the day before, and the month before when she made the appointment. Did she have the money? NO. Did she try to flirt her way out of paying it? Of course. Does Chris flirt with stupid women? Not very often.
Brings up a question I was recently asked. Do I have a type. My preferred woman. Hmm. Intelligent. That's what I prefer. She can be thick or thin, tall or short, whatever. But, she HAS to be intelligent. Somewhat independent helps as well. I like long hair and full lips, but doesn't everyone? Lol. Just be smart. And you are my type.
I think I have a headache all of a sudden. Damn, where did that come from?? Ouch.
This Prince album is truly wonderful. And a trip. Hmmm. Who to share it with? Who will enjoy it as much as me? Who? (Great, now I'm an owl.)
