Well, the badgering continues, and the results. Another journal entry! Yippee!!
Thursday was an interesting day. The person mentioned in yesterday's journal got a bit of karmic retribution in more ways than one. I feel bad about it in some ways, but good in others, because he messed with a person I am very close to, and he broke a rule that I don't think you should ever break when involved in a relationship.
Why do men cheat? Why does anyone cheat for that matter? Is it all about self-esteem? Or is it like in the movie Unfaithful where she just wanted something different, and fell into it. It's hard to say sometimes I think, but I would guess that self-esteem is at the heart of it most every time. Does someone cheat once, and then never again? Can someone who cheated in previous relationships change his/her stripes?
I guess through counseling maybe. But it isn't the other person in these cases. At least that's my opinion. I think it's just the person who cheated issues, no one elses. More sex won't change it, more love won't change it. It's all about feeling wanted by someone. Or not loving yourself. Something.
Ah, well, it's not my problem really. I'm very faithful to the one I love.
Friday I work until a little before noon, and that is very exciting to me. Then off to Waukesha to pick up a few things, then to Ripon to pick up my wonderful son.
Let me tell you about him! He tried out for the majors in little league. These are kids 13-14. He's 10. He made it. He's going to really do something one day I think. So outgoing, and athletic. And SMART! Took standardized tests this week, and scored in a number of areas at a 10th grade level. Or higher. Reading at a 10th grade level in 4th grade. Spelling, english. Smart kid. I'm especially proud, because it's a direct reflection of me. I had those same kinds of things happen. Test wise. Nothing athletic or outgoing until I was too old for it to be too late to really use it for much. But Nathan! Well, he has a chance to live my dreams.
