next day's entry
previous day's entry March 27, 2003
Writing the morning of the 28th about my wonderful 27th.  Started out ok with a normal morning.  Around 7:15 I called Karla since I hadn't heard from her.  Talked to her a little, and Shaun and Megan, then got ready for work.

Work was fine, though I got more complaints about how terribly rude I am.  One was actually someone else, and one we don't believe was from the person that supposedly signed it.  The rest of the day blew by.

At night, I got the dolly ready to put the washer and dryer in the truck in the A.M., and got together some of the other tools and so forth that I needed for the weekend.  Watched This Old House, and the Wisconsin and Marquette basketball games.  Wisconsin put up a hell of a fight, but didn't quite make it, and Marquette fulfilled my expectations and won.

Then my problems began.  The slight gnawing pain and fever I had had blew up on me.  Around 8 I just started feeling horrible.  The pain became severe and constant in my lower back, and I started sweating and shaking like a madman.  I took a bunch of aspirin and drank some cranberry juice mixed with Sprite.  Did it work??

A better question, have I slept since Wednesday night?  NOPE!
So, there I was hauling a washer and dryer out of the basement, and to the truck, then of course the dolly didn't work to get them in the truck so I had to just throw them up there, tie them down and load all the other stuff I was taking.  All the while thinking that I might end up in the hospital with all this stuff in my truck instead of in Menominee.

Hoped to hear from Karla before work to see what she thought of all this, but my phone didn't ring.

Left for work, in a sleepy daze.  Felt like crap the whole way, and so far . . .

On the bright side it seems to be getting better, and one of the doctors gave me some Percoset in case I have another night like that--so I can get some sleep.

Soooo, I might make the trip.  We'll have to see.  I'd hate to disappoint Nathan, he was really looking forward to it.
