Let's see, 6 more days of work this year, though next week will mostly be Christmas stuff all week. But, if I get paid for it, it counts as work, right? Then it will be off to Menominee for vacation, until next month. I know I typically fall behind in the journal while I am up there, but I really hope to get into a regular habit of writing at Karla's this time. Hope. No promises, though.
At work, it has been really busy because one member of the group has apparently forgotten that she works. Funny, right? Not when you have a cold and have trouble talking, and the phone is ringing off the hook, and she is visiting with friends instead. Not that I am complaining because I would never complain. Never ever.
Went out to Denny's for dinner with Mom. Our waitress should look for other work. She forgot my drink, my side, and our bill. Not that those things should matter all that much. It's only her job right? (Again, not complaining.)
Had a good talk though, regarding life and the holidays, Christmas, etc. Had a lot of changes in the last 6 months. Gone from being a single dad, to, in a way, having a whole family. And now Christmas will be changing a bit. A new group of people whose traditions have to be taken into account. And of course that means a breaking with tradition here. So, Christmas will be early here, and on time in Menominee. Nathan will be there when he can. He wants to come for Eve and Day, but Julie, after agreeing its his choice overruled him. I can't blame her much. I want him to be with me as much as she does with her. I imagine there will come a time when he lives with me instead, and I can overrule her. If I choose. (Would I do that?)
Wow, Brittany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher are married? That's weird.
Have to take out the garbage. I had hoped it would warm up, but it is still 10 degrees outside. Sooooo, I guess I freeze my ass off. As I said, this will all be up to date by Monday morning. I promise.
