| Ah, the day after Thanksgiving! A busy day, oddly. Kids up early, but pretty quiet. I got up and went down by them and found out why they were quiet. Apparently they had made Nathan sit silently under his blanket until the movie they were watching was over. So, I took that as a hint to go back to bed. Didn't work of course. Highlights and lowlights of the day. Dropping off Nathan in Green Bay. He had a hockey game on Saturday so we had to bring him back early. We met at Wendy's in Green Bay, grabbed a bunch of food and were just starting to eat when Julie arrived. Chris (lol) and Julie got food and Chris tried to sit at a different table, but Julie ignored him and sat with us. So we ate and visited for awhile. Eventually Nathan went on his way. I think he was sad to be going home. When will I be able to change that?? We staved off our sadness by going to JO-TO-GO. Fruit smoothies for the kids, Cafe Mocha Extreme for K, Cafe Mocha for me. Good stuff, though the kids grew tired of theirs. We drove home. Plans were to put up the tree either tonight or tomorrow, and we needed to put up some weather proofing on the window first. So we stopped at Menards. There we got the window covers, and Megan and Shaun each picked out an ornament. Karla picked out one for us that we later had engraved with our names. "Our First Christmas". Cool. Shaun got a star-shaped Santa in red, white and blue. Megan got a really pretty precious moments ornament. We went to the mall for the engraving, got the kids boots, and visited with Santa. A fun little trip. Home, K and I covered the window. Then the four of us put up the Christmas Tree. Then it was time for the kids to go to bed. K and I stayed up and put on lights. We'd decorate in the morning. Funny, the cats immediately took up residence under the tree. Would this be a problem later? Good question. Lol. Then Night Came! C |
