Woke up Saturday with a request.  K wanted an omelet.  Now, I used to make Ham and Swiss omelets each time we got together, but we had gotten away from it a little bit.  Guess someone had decided to revive the tradition.  I asked what she wanted in the omelet, then went downstairs to discover that she had bought, ham, swiss cheese, and excellent bread.  So, I threw together an omelet for her, and some toast.  She ate nearly all of it, I finished it off.

I think she took a nap then, and then we showered and went to Walmart.  I wanted to buy a sweater and some toiletries to leave at her house.  So we did that and then went to see "The Ring".  A good movie, though it freaked me out a bit.  Not so much jumpy as just frightening in a weird way.  Like it was believably scary?  I don't know how to explain it.

Doesn't help that I think K's home is haunted.  Too many nightmares in that place.  Weird.

So watched the movie, left to go back to the house and relax for awhile before our reservations for dinner.  I decided to turn the lights on for safety and ran a red light.  Pretty stupid.  I don't think I have ever accidentally ran a red light before in my life.  Grrr.

Back at the house we watched Real World reruns and then got dressed for dinner.  We went to The Landing.  The restaurant that Karla works at.  I had Sicilian Veal, which was three veal cutlets, breaded and with peppers and mushrooms.  With angel hair pasta and tomato pesto sauce.  With Hashbrowns, sour cream and cheese on the side.  YUM!

K had a Tender Nest.  Not on the menu.  A pice of tenderloin, surrounded by Shrimp on a bed of pasta with Alfredo sauce.  With a single mushroom cap on the top of the tenderloin.  The shrimp was really good, and so was the steak.  Our appetizer was awesome!  Walleye strips!  We might go again and just order appetizers.  VERY GOOD!

After dinner we started watching The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, but I was too full and it was too slow for me.  I ended up crashing at a little after 9.

A great day though.

These weekends are the best . . .
