Saturday dawned too early.   No idea why, too hot in the house or something.

We got up for a little while, then K went back to bed, and I stayed up.  I am a morning person, she is not, so . . . .

Watched some TV, took a shower, got ready for Megan's Basketball game at 12.  K woke up and went through the same procedure.  We were a little too late to get anything to eat, so we hurried to the game early in hopes that they would finish faster.  Lol.

The theory worked.  Megan's team won, of course.  And the game went by fast, so we zipped out of there to Applebee's.  Well, I wish to Applebee's.  Instead to Luigi's.  A pizza place with decent food.  Horrible waitresses though.  Or waitress.

K got the Chicken Parmigiana, and I the Veal.  Not the best ever, but not the worst either.  Like I said, decent.  We ordered a bit too much food for the kids, but it would serve as snacks later so it all worked out.  They spent a ton of quarters on a ton of gum balls.  Not sure what they can do with all that gum, but I tried a piece, and it made my jaw sore.  So, maybe it can be used to build up jaw strength.

The waitress?  I hope she was new.  I really hope she was new.  She forgot about our salads, and K reminded her by asking for Ranch dressing to go with the french we had already requested.  Our salads came then, but no ranch dressing.  The waitress was gone, gone, gone.  Then, there, there, there.  Not there when we needed her, but always there when we didn't.

Final word?  I'd go back, but hope that a better waitress was available.

We rented "Eight Legged Freaks" and the newest Angelina Jolie movie.  (that movie didn't work for some reason, and I forgot the name).  Moments after arriving home, Kori (Karla's sister), and her children walked in the door.  With sleeping bags.  I was floored.  Had no idea they were coming.  K had forgotten.  We had almost missed them.  So, 4 kids, and 4 cats for the night.  We ended up all watching 8 Legged Freaks, and then to bed.  The kids were pretty good, spending most of their time playing video games.

Another good Saturday.
