Christy`s Mobile Dog Grooming was begun in 1987 by Michael and Christy McDonell, and has been serving the San Francisco mid-peninsula ever since. Our territory ranges from Millbrae in the north, to Redwood City in the south. Much of our business is word-of-mouth, consisting of client and veterinary referrals.
We have three vans, which are set up as mini grooming salons. Michael grooms the larger dogs such as Golden Retrievers and Labradors, while Christy takes care of the smaller dogs, including the small breeds requiring clipping.
Please Note! Michael and Katie are both in the San Mateo County area while Christy is in the Portland area. All are taking on new clients of all kinds!
Many dogs have anxiety issues either driving in the car or sitting in a shop waiting for their turn on the table. Christy`s eliminates most of this stress by coming to you, so there is no car ride or waiting in a cage. We give each dog individual care and consideration. Our dogs show great pride in their appearance, and many of them come to us of their own volition, jumping into the vans themselves, once they get to know us.
The convenience is a bonus for you, as you no longer have to haul the dogs to the shop, leaving them all day, picking them up at the end of the day only to find your dog has not had water, or a walk all day. With Christy`s, they go right back into the house, and into your loving arms when they are finished. Once our clients see the difference we can make with their pets, they swear they will never go elsewhere.
