Old Age
I'm getting old I really must say,
Time to get out the rocker and assorted tubes of Ben-Gay,
I have aches and pains and several grey hairs,
My knees crack and I can't breathe when I climb the stairs,
I have conversations about kitchen appliances and mildew,
I'm starting to forget things I once knew.
Arthritis, bursitis, osteoporosis and Alzheimers,
Soon I'll have liver spots and a hunchback like the other old timers,
It won't be long till I'm senile and gummin' my food,
At least I'll have an excuse for making comments that are mean and rude.
I'm out of touch with popular music and things young people do,
Life will soon revolve around Depends and racing for the loo,
I don't understand teen culture and the younger generation's jive,
I'm old and decrepit, I'm twenty-five.
