Elyse had had enough. She couldnt wait any longer. What should she do? What could she do? She squinted toward the house, wind and rain pelting her face. She could see nothing more than tall weeds and willow branches flailing angrily in her direction. She wasnt going back to that house. Not now - not ever! Light from a full moon broke through small gaps between the storm clouds, making the field between her familys ranch house and the old mansion scarcely visible. Elyse rose and began pacing. Where are they?" she said out loud. "They know the area. They know how to get back to my house. Where are they?" She stopped, pushed the curtain back from the kitchen window, and stared out toward the mansion. "Are they dead? Are they all dead?" BUY SCARY STORY READ MORE ABOUT MY OTHER BOOKS |
