| "Long Time Gone" Tune: The Dixie Chicks' song of the same name. Once there was a boy named Taran Went on a quest for a cauldron black He embarked on a great big adventure But then Disney cut his slack Disney wanted to make more money But Taran's film was a box office bomb So one day Disney threw away Taran And now he's been long time gone Been long time gone No I ain't seen Taran since I don't know when Long time gone And it ain't comin' back again In '96 I went to the movies Saw The Hunchback of Notre Dame It was the most amazing movie My heart it had completely won Though I loved to hear Quasi singing Disney heard another song HoND didn't make enough money to please them So Quasi's been long time gone Been long time gone No I ain't seen Quasi since I don't know when Long time gone And it ain't comin' back again There's also Pocahontas Don't forget Atlantis Oliver and Company Basil didn't make money Fox and the Hound bombed So did Herc and Mulan Merlin, Kuzco and Jim Were all thrown in the bin Now every time I visit the mall I always go to the Disney Store But all I see are Pooh and the Princesses The merchandice is such a bore They've got profit but they don't have pleasure They've got money but no quality Cause they blow up their most popular movies And then... And then... And then... The rest are long time gone No they ain't had products since I don't know when Long time gone And it ain't comin' back... I said long time gone No I ain't bought from there since I don't know when Long time gone And it ain't comin' back again Back to Randon Creative Works Back to Index |
