| NOTE: A few spoilers ahead. Ad�le has blue eyes and auburn, curly hair. She learns to know Quasi when they are both four years old. Ad�le�s mother Charlotte takes her to the belltower to meet the boy, and she becomes attached to him at once. Later, Charlotte and Clopin adopt Quasimodo, and the family lives together in the Court of Miracles. Ad�le is warm-hearted and headstrong. She is faithful to the Gypsy customs and community. She falls in love with Quasimodo after spending the day after the Feast of Fools with him � then, she even finds out the secret of the gargoyles - and seeing how Esmeralda and Phoebus kiss each other in Quasi�s presence. However, Quasi doesn�t answer her feelings at once. So, Ad�le is jealous of Esmeralda. Ad�le deeply hates Frollo because of the injustice he has done Quasi. She defies him both as a child and, later, as a young woman when the whole vagabond community is imprisoned by him. She never teases Quasi about his guardian, but she defends him against prejudiced townspeople. Ad�le becomes acquainted with Madellaine and regards her as a rival. So, she is very mean to her and falls out with Quasi. Those two have already had some problems in their relationship before. In any case, Ad�le never stops loving her bellringer. |
