Bis zu 10 Meter hoch und bis zu 100.000 kg schwer - für den Transport der Moai wurden die Bäume der Insel gerodet und die Bewohner hatten kein Baumaterial mehr, um Schiffe zu bauen
Up to 33 ft high and weighting up to 221.000 lbs. - for the transport of the Moai all the trees of the island were cut down  and the inhabitants didn't have any material left for building boats

Einer der einsamsten Plätze der Welt: 1.900 km zur nächsten bewohnten Insel (Pitcairn) und 4.000 zum nächsten Internetcafé (Papeete) - gleichzeitg ein sehr trockener Platz - es gibt keine Flüsse oder Seen, so dass ich für eine 2 Tagestour 10 Liter Wasservorrat mitnehmen musste
