the first, a conventional rendition, comprises silences sampled from live performances by a veritable smorgasbord of twentieth-century cultural innovators in numerous media (Whitehouse, Samuel Beckett, Motörhead, Chekhov, Zeni Geva, Clarice Lispector, Merzbow, Graciliano Ramos, Scanner, John Ashbery, Napalm Death, Maurice Blanchot and Anal Cunt, among others)

with the volume turned up to eleven, christöphilax provides a 46'21" re-imagining of the original track

and last but not least, Mark Automaton brings some welcome gravitas to the proceedings, weighing in with a characteristically challenging and controversial 23'39"
