Hello there, welcome to my new home on the web. In case you didn't guess from the picture above, I am studying to be a Lutheran pastor, and have had the privildge of already having nearly 8 years of active ministry experience under my belt, which is something to say since I'm only 29 years old. :-) I presently serve as the pastor of a small Lutheran congregation that worships in the beautiful 116 year old Beaver Creek Church, located in north central Iowa. I served there from November of 2003 until its closing service, May 9, 2004. Before that, I helped the pastors at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner, Iowa from May of 1998 until November of 2003. I also led worship services at First Lutheran Church in Kingsley, Iowa in July of 1999 and at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in LuVerne, Iowa several times during the summer of 2001 during their last pastoral vacancy. I did my pre ministerial studies at Concordia Univeristy, St. Paul, Minnesota, and Waldorf College, Forest City, Iowa. I was admitted to the Ministerium roster of the Evangelical Lutheran Conference & Ministerium of North America (ELCM) in September, 2005.
My primary intention in creating this page was to share many of my church photos I have taken. One of my favorite hobbies is to take pictures of country churches, and now with the marvels of modern technology, I can share them with you on this site. Check out the directory of the churches I have photographed.
I also in the future hope to post some of the sermons I have written and preached in the past. Look for the sermon page in the coming weeks to read some of my past work and to share my future sermons in which I preach Jesus Christ, crucified for the sins of the world.
