| My Christopher Columbus Reasons for Exploration Page! |
| Christopher Columbus had quite a few reasons to explore. He had always wanted to explore. To find out why Columbus wanted to explore so much read on along this page and read carefully! O.K. lets start off with an easy and obvious reason for Columbus to explore. Well as you know Columbus was expected to be a weaver, due to his families history and reputation. Altough his family knew he wanted to explore they never took him all that serious. Columbus had always had dreams of making his fortune at sea and that was a good reason for him to explore. Christopher Columbus also read a book once that really impacted his life. Once Christopher Columbus got his hands on a famous book. This book told all about Marco Polo and his adventures at sea. As soon as he read the book he decided that it was just another reason for him to be an explorer. Christopher Columbus also wanted to explore because he wanted to be written in books, that he Christopher Columbus discovered the missing continent Asia! Columbus sailed west hoping that Asia would be there. Unfortunately it wasn't but I think that secretly he was still happy with his accomplishments. I also think that Christopher Columbus found the job of weaving for a career very boring. I mean a whole family of weavers.... how lame can you get? |
