Columbus's Death and Burial!
Christopher Columbus died in a city named Vallidad. Vallidad is in Spain. The date that Columbus passed away on was May 20, 1506. He was at the age of 54. He unfortunately suffered a long terminal illness. The first symptoms of this disease came on his third voyage, 8 years earlier.

Originally Christopher Columbus was buried in a small cemetary right in Vallidad, the town which he died in. Shortly after that Columbus's body was moved from Vallidad to Sellville. In 1526 Columbus's older son, Diego died. He was buried beside his father.

Christopher and Diego were ordered to be moved from Seville. They went across the Atlantic Ocean. They were buried under the right side of the alter in a cathedral in Santa Dominica. His remains were moved once again  across the Atlantic Ocean. So if you look in Seville today you will see Columbus's tomb.

Unfortunately that is not the whole story. In 1877 some construction workers were doing work at a certain church in a certain Santa Dominica. They found a box bearing Columbus's name. So now many people think that he is in Santa Dominica too.

Columbus's remains are also claimed to be in Havona. Another historian claims that his remains never left Vallidad.

So where is Columbus really buried? Who knows but like I said this is definately an interesting argument!
