Full name: Amanda Carr
DOB: 09/01/87
Location: Yorkshire, England

Intro
Amanda's dad was in the British Army, therefore, she grew up travelling around England and Germany alot until, in 1995, she finally settled in Yorkshire.  Because her other relatives live in the South (apart from her Uncle who lives in California), she hopes to one day leave the Northern life to join them.  Her interests have always been based around entertainment and music, exploring different styles and expressions.  She never really had a particular favourite type of music until she heard 'Clint Eastwood'.  Instantly, she was inspired by the unique Hiphop/rap sounds Gorillaz had created and when the album was released she bought it and discovered alot more to the first animated band then she originally expected.

Entertainment??
At the age of 14, Amanda has already had quite alot of experience with music but her main objective still hasn't been completed, or even begun, she explains.  "I've always wanted to play the drums but at the moment I'm concentrating on Performing Arts such as singing and acting."  At a a very early age she began starring in school productions, where she discovered how much she enjoyed to perform.  As time progressed, she became more and more involved. She began writing music using different types of music and experimenting with beats.  So far, she has done a weeks course on performing and has been accepted by a theatre company to perform live on stage.
UPDATE
Since this was written,Amanda has also been accepted into Stage 84 Stage School of Performing Arts, and began drumming lessons. We would all like to wish her the best of luck for the future.
Do you have a question for Amanda??
Her Say
I have always liked all types of music from jazz to rap to rock but I never really liked any of the typical, predictable bands you hear on the radio as much as I like Gorillaz because there's nothing special about them.  Okay, they have things that make them different from each other but Gorillaz is completely different.  How many fully animated bands are there?? How many 10 year olds arrive in a crate and how many drummers hold the spirit of some dead guy?? It must of taken some imagination to think these people up.  Thanks for looking at my website and please sign the guestbook.
