Grey Elephants of Fortune!
I created these unique table statues almost as a dare. My sister had given me a pre-formed plaster elephant table, with no finish. After six months of looking at him unpainted -- I could not figure out a good color for him, I asked around and my friend Timothy Whitewolf suggested "Pink!"
So I painted Bob pink -- pink granite with crystal sparkles to be exact. His brother Samuel is now in the care of my sister -- Sam is metallic hematite grey with inclusions. Bob has been used as a table, holding a tiny 18" x 18" diamond-shaped glass top, but right now both brothers are just sitting pretty, with their front paws raised and trunks above their heads.
Brother Mathias is waiting for a good home, as is sister Lucibelle. Mathias is pink like Bob, but marble and quartz rather than granite; and Lucibelle is jade green with gold inclusions. Each elephant sits about 21" tall and is capable of holding a 3' diameter tabletop.
