Q.1   What were the three questions asked by the King ?

Ans.  The king asked the following questions:

1.   What is the most important time to start some work?

2.    What is the most important work to do?

3.    Who is the most important person?

Q.2  What is the moral of  the lesson “The Secret of Success”?

Ans.  The moral of the lesson is that the most important time to start work is the present. The most important work is what we are doing at the moment  and the most important person is the one whom we are with at that moment.

Q.3  Why was not any wise or learned man of the country able to satisfy the King?

Ans.  They could not satisfy the king because they could not see eye to eye with each other and each answer was disapproved by the king.

Q.4   Where did the saint live and why did the king wish to see him ?

Ans.  The saint lived in the jungle. The king was not satisfied with the answers given to him by his wise men of his country so he decided to seek the advice of that famous saint.

Q.5   Why did the bearded man become a faithful servant of the king?

Ans.  He became a faithful servant of the king because when kings men wounded him , the king looked after him and for this act of kindness the bearded man became a faithful servant of the king.
