Q.1 .   When and where was Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him ) born?

 

Ans.    Hazrat Muhammad  (peace be upon him) the Prophet of Islam was born in the year 571 A.D. at Makkah.

 

Q.2  To which family did Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) belong? What did they believe  in?

 

Ans.  Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) belonged to the noble family of Quraish . They believed and worshipped idols and did not believe in One God.

 

Q.3.   What did Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ask the Quraish to do?

 

Ans.  Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked the Quraish not to worship their false gods and asked them to worship the One and the only true God.

 

Q.4  Why did Prophet Muhammad  (peace be upon him) migrate to Madina?

 

Ans.  Most of the people of Makkah refused to accept Islam. They opposed the new faith and their bitter opposition caused the Prophet (peace be upon him) much agony and a lot of trouble. So in 622 A.D. the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) migrated to Madina.

 

Q.5       What is Hijra ? Where did it take place ?

 

Ans.   In 622 A.D. the Prophet (peace be upon him) accompanied by his faithful friend Hazrat Abu Bakr migrated to Madina. This event is known in history as Hijra.

 

Q.6    On what principles was the Islamic Society founded ?

 

Ans.    In Madina  the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) founded the Islamic Society based on the three principles.

1)      All power belongs to Allah.

2)      Muhammad ( peace be upon him) is His Prophet.

3)      All Muslims are brothers among themselves.

 

Q .7.   What does the last sermon of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) teach us ?

 

Ans.    The last sermon of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) teaches us that there is no God except Allah. Only the goodness of a person makes him superior to others. The most righteous is the most honourable . All Muslims are brothers among themselves. The last sermon also teaches us that the Holy Quran is the message of Allah and if we act according to its teachings, we will never go wrong.

 

Q.8    Why did the Quraish oppose the Holy Prophet ?

 

Ans.   The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) asked the Quraish not to worship their false gods but to worship the One and the only true God and to accept him as the Prophet of God . However, they refused to do so and believed that he was preaching against their Gods and their ancestors. So they opposed the new religion of Islam.

 

Q.9     Where did the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) address the large gathering of the  Muslims and what was that occasion ?

 

Ans.    The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) addressed a large gathering of the Muslims  on mount Arafat. It was the occasion of  Hajj.

1.                    There is no god except Allah.

2.                    No Arab is superior to a non-Arab.
