Ans. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) visited the sick regularly. He spoke kind words to them . He would even go to visit his ailing enemies.

Ans.  The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) established a hospital in Madina and appointed Hazrat Rufaida , who was a very competent nurse , as its incharge.

Ans.   Florence Nightingale was the founder of modern nursing and one of the greatest women in history. She was born in the town of Florence in Italy 1820 . She belonged to a wealthy and cultured English family. Her aim in life was to serve the sick people.

Ans. Islam regards nursing as very important. Muslim  ladies also helped the sick and wounded in the battle-fields. They gave water to the injured and ailing soldiers.

Ans.  Nursing means looking after the sick. Florence Nightingale was the founder of modern nursing.

Ans.  Florence Nightingale was offered a purse of 45000 pounds for her service in the Crimean war. She founded an Institute for the training of nurses in London with that money.
