DIGNITY OF WORK

Q.1  What to you know about the dignity of work?

Ans. Doing work for yourself and for others is a noble quality. But we must not forget the dignity of work. Our Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) loved doing the work with his own hands.

Q.2 What reason did Akhter give his uncle for being cross ?

Ans. Akhter told his uncle that they were having the social service week at school. He had to do the work of servants and gardeners. So he was feeling cross.

Q.3  What did the teacher do himself ?

Ans. The teacher also worked with the students. He swept the room and emptied the dustbin himself.

Q.4  What did the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) love ?

Ans. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) loved doing work with his own hands. He swept his room. He repaired his shoes, mended his clothes and also washed them.

Q.5  Were the companions of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) like him?

Ans. The companions of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) were also like him. They also loved to work for themselves and for others with their own hands.

Q.6  How did Sultan Nasir-ud-din earn his living?

Ans. Sultan Nasir-ud-din was a pious ruler. He did not take anything from the royal treasury. He earned his living by making caps.

Q.7 What does everyone in China do?

Ans. In China, everybody spends some time working in the fields or in a factory. They believe that everybody should work with his hands. No one is spared in this respect.
