Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez,
saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." Jabez cried out to the God of Israel,
"Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!
Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain."
And God granted his request.
1 Chronicles 5:6

This was the origin of our group name. 
We chose this name because we wanted God to enlarge our territories.
This is our prayer that we try to pray everyday, 
and believe in it. We pray that God will bless us, and keep us from harm. 
We also each have the book The Prayer of Jabez, written by Bruce Wilkinson.
Its a great book, and I recommend it to everyone.

That aside, Jabez, my youth/cell group,
is a great,fun-loving bunch!
We're about as real and as authentic as it can be,
or at least we try to be.
We have various quarrels and arguments,
but that goes in every family.
