You really should visit the House of Netjer site for a more authoritative explanation. However, my understanding is that in Kemetic Orthodox belief, the nisut is the carrier of the kingly ka, a divine spirit which should not be mistaken with the individual spirit of the nisut herself. (In other words, the nisut herself is not worshipped, but one of the spirits she carries within her is).

The nisut is the spiritual leader of the Kemetic Orthodox faith. In antiquity, that would be the pharoah. Consequently, going into a Kemetic Orthodox forum, and casually referring to the past pharoahs or those who were accepted as such as "shmoes" is like going into a Roman Catholic forum, and insulting the popes. It is not a nice thing to do.

Nor, given the past behavior of the Kemetic Orthodox faith, is it one that I can see much of a point to. Speaking as a non-Kemetic Orthodox individual, I can report without bias that I have seen no evidence that the House of Netjer has ever acted in an aggressive fashion toward any other faith group. Given that they have shown respect, and honored the social contract in the community of faith communities, a failure to return that respect would seem to me to be inexcusable. (*)

If you would like to know more about the current, obviously non-pharaohnic nisut of the House of Netjer, may I recommend that you start with a few of her writings? This, perhaps, will give one some sense of what it is that a nisut does, and is in Kemetic Orthodox belief.

(*) The argument-happy reader is reminded that such disrespect I have shown the House of Netjer management was not given casually, or without provocation. To hesitate to be disrespectful is not to refuse to be so, unconditionally.
