May we consider this foolish and time-wasting subject to be at a close, now? This is the irritating thing about the Net. It has done more to empower stubborn crackpots than anything since the fashionably heavy drug use and solipsism of the early 1970s.

The solution is a simple one, as it always has been - a good, healthy dose of skepticism about remarkable claims and a demand that articles positing such been subjected to peer review, before being promoted in the popular press. This much is basic Academic courtesy, and the length of time we've had to waste debunking this piece of foolishness is a beautiful example of why that is. Who has time for this, on a regular basis?
