While nowhere near a Wiccan, my former lover was a Hellenic Wiccan who participated in a coven. His ex-wife was a leader in the coven, and it eventually got to the point that she, after becoming high priestess, was actually defacing property and damaging the cars of people in the coven who had left as a result of her actions. While her insane behaviour is nowhere near the typical behaviour, I think it is to be expected of a religion with no central authority. When anyone can simply call themselves a high priest and run a coven, it is likely that sometimes the worst people become the ones in authority. I certainly hope Hellas takes off, because a training program will likely help weed out the nuts (counts me out) and encourage good leadership in our community.
