. Answer : Because it might need to be.

This page is a frequently asked questions file for our group. For those who don't know what a "FAQ" is for, we put it in place so that we don't have to endlessly repeat our answers to the same questions over and over, driving ourselves and our guests insane in the process. But really, everything you need to know before coming (and a little more) is in the introduction and in our statement of The Universal Base Code of Morality, and most of the discussion there can be skipped. All that you really need to know is what we're about.

At present, our site is mostly (but not entirely) one of philosophical exposition, defending the positions you see early on. For example, how does one square a belief with an afterlife with concern for life in this world, given that we tend to believe in both? You already know that we believe in an informal group structure. Why do we believe that it will work? And so on. But, if these are things you already believe in and you don't feel the need for extra ammunition when defending your positions, please don't feel that you have to read these essays. There will be no entry quiz at the door. But, if there is a question that you feel needs to be answered, it is our hope that it will be answered here.
