Gosh, it's flattering to see one's name in print. So you can imagine how touched I felt, really, as I read these words in an article in which my name appeared prominently :

" CHRISTO-PAGAN INTERFAITH BUNNIES TARGET PAN! Christo-Pagan agitators seek converts via PAN website guestbook. Will YOU be next? "

Sends shivers up your spine, doesn't it? Just in case the reader didn't know how scary this was going to be, the author thoughtfully included a graphic of a skeleton doing the "come here" gesture with its index finger.

this image, identical to the one

Reading on, I found that the author did not seem to understand that the words "Pagan", "Wiccan" and "Witch" were not synonomous, and that he seemed to feel that I was targeting Pagans/Wiccans/Witches for conversion! My own position on evangelism has not been a vague one - I've been openly and vocally opposed to the practice, and as a Metaphysical Empiricist I would have to be. So, what makes him feel that I would adopt a practice which would be tantamount to a rejection of one of the foundation stones of my own religion? The author tells us :

" This pseudo-pagan even states on his site -
'WICCANS ARE NOT WELCOME AS GUESTS ANY MORE.'
Point proved - Xtian troublemaker exposed! What lengths will they go to target pagan folk?

Small point, that I'm a little confused on ... if I was targeting Wiccans for conversion, which would be news to me, then why would I exclude them from the Shrine as visitors? Wouldn't I want them to come? How could I convert somebody who wasn't even within earshot, as I was speaking? Perhaps this wise author and his fan club could enlighten us on this mystifying point?

But I'm getting ahead of myself, as I haven't even told you how it was, that the writer of these words of wisdom became part of my life.
