About Bible
You can study the Bible for a 100 years and still not finish, but this is just
to give you a basic idea. The word Bible comes from Greek word Biblia which means
collection of books. Bible is a set of books which is divided in to two parts, the Old
Testament and the New Testament. The OT has 39 books from Genesis to Malachi, and deals
with the events until the arrival of Christ. The NT is a collection of 27
books from Gospel of Mathew to book of Revelation. This is all about Christ,
salvation, Christianity and the church.
The OT was written in Hebrew the Jewish language and is still used by the Jews. The NT was
written in Greek. The last book of OT is book of Malachai written few years before Christ.
The NT was written probably between 30Ad to 70 AD. The last book is the book of Revelation
written by disciple John on the island of Patmos. He was the last apostle to die,
a
normal death after banishment. Both OT and NT are supported by original manuscripts which have
been researched and found to be consistent and accurate which means that they are truly
dated documents.
Bible is the most translated and sold book in history. Other than the
fact that when translating from one language to another there is obvious slight meaning
differences, the Bible has been kept intact. Why the versions? When different group of
people translated the Bible they gave their own version name, hence we have King James
Version, American Standard Version, New International Version and so on. The difference is
the style of the language and its standard. But the content is the same. If you are a
beginner Bible it does not matter, but when you start really studying God's Word then
you need to watch out to be accurate.

Is Bible a story or literary piece of work only? No, in Bible you have history, science
(to the extent that it had proved some of the modern scientific theories to be wrong), it
is a guide on social living, health and all that. But the basic purpose is that it is
God's unchanging Word for mankind. A good portion of the Bible contains prophecies and
many are relevant to our times.
The question, how can Bible be accurate if it was done by different
authors? Those who have read and studied the Bible will understand one thing. From the
beginning till the end, there is a single theme and chain of events. The creation and
salvation of Man. And though different authors wrote it they were inspired by God's Spirit
so that, they do not contradict with one another but are consistent with each other.
The more you study the Bible you will find that it is absolutely, a full 100% correct on
everything. Bible is God's Word the basis for us to know about God, His instructions for
us, His commandments, His plans for the mankind, on earth and in the heavens, His
plans for the end of the age, His promises to believers (who accept Jesus), His guidelines
on how we should live and so on. It has everything you need, though you may not have
realised it so far.
You want to know the Truth, open the Bible and read. You want to verify with something that someone
said, verify it against your Bible. The Bible has not changed since
70AD. Almost everything else has changed, man's beliefs, practices and religion. Want to know
the original truth, refer to the Original Book. You want to know what is being a true Christian,
open the Bible and read. Don't just continue listening to interpretation by your religious
heads and the misinterpretation by Satan.
Many Christian religions carry the Bible around as sacred, but they don't read it or fully
believe it.
Who is the best Bible scholar and Bible believer? Satan. Remember Satan quoting Bible to
Jesus when he tried to tempt Jesus.
What do you do when Bible contradicts Science? Let me ask you first what is the available
scientific knowledge? How much of answers does it have? very little. Few centuries back science said
earth was flat - now it is round. Try proving the Bible wrong
on any issue... Bible says God created man and one scientist called Darwin proposed a
theory of evolution, it already has been proven wrong now... so much for science.
