This is a view of the gate from the house.  Approximatly 200 feet away.
This is looking through the gate at the gate opener.
This is the actual gate opener. It is actually a garage door opener turned sideways.  The rail is covered with a rain gutter.  The motor is covered by a wood "dog house."  The arm from the opener to the gate is an old rod from a torsion spring.  More pictures of the inside coming soon.  The plans were bought online for $20.  We also added lights on each side of the gate that will come on when the gate is operated and stay on for five minutes, but only at night thanks to a relay and photocell.
