Shadows of the Future is a prequel series to Dark Jedi Princess' Star Wars crossover, Powerlust, in which Daniel is trained as a Jedi. Shadows of the Future spans from pre-series to just before the season seven episode "Fallout," from the perspective of Daniel unknowingly being Force-sensitive. For the most part, it could be canon, though tiny details may have changed slightly.

While the main cast of Star Wars do not appear in this series, save for brief cameos, several characters from the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic videogame are integrated into the story. It isn't necessary to have played the game (when I first started writing this series, I hadn't played it either), although it certainly wouldn't hurt.
