
"How do we get into these situations, again?" Jack asked, tugging halfheartedly at the bars of his cell.
"Murphy's Law, sir?" Sam offered.
Teal'c frowned. "Who is Murphy? What is his law?"
"Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong," Jack said. "Basically."
Teal'c's next question was cut off at the sound of an enormous kaboom at the other end of the village. Panic erupted outside, the prisoners forgotten in the chaos.
The door swung open, and SG-1 stood up to face the intruder. "Well, look who it is," Jack drawled. "You blew up the guard tower, eh?"
"It's not exactly pure genius, but occasionally it fits the situation," Daniel said. He shot the lock and pulled the cell door open. "Better get going, they won't stay distracted for more than a few minutes."
Jack nodded in approval. "Not a bad day's work for a geek."
