
Teal'c eyed the colorfully-wrapped candy with mistrust. "I do not believe these eggs are real," he stated, staring at the multicolored basket.
"They're not supposed to be actual eggs." Jack reached over and snagged one. He tore the wrapper off and tossed it under Daniel's desk. "See, they're made of chocolate."
"For what reason?" Teal'c asked.
"It's symbolic," Daniel started to explain, but was distracted by Sam loudly breaking the ears off her chocolate rabbit.
"It's tasty," she interrupted. "No one really thinks about the symbolism anymore, they just like the discounted candy the day after Easter."
Teal'c considered this. It made about as much sense as the Tau'ri ever did. "I see."
"Just wait until Halloween," Jack mumbled through a mouthful of jellybeans. "Compared to that, this is small potatoes."
The Jaffa raised an eyebrow. "I see no miniscule root vegetables."
