Note: This story has been in the works for almost two years and I have yet to complete it. The delay has been caused by numerous factors rather than just the length, which is pushing its way towards being novel-sized (depending on how you define it). Rest assured, however, that the Plotkraken that snared me two years ago has yet to relinquish its prize. This fic will be finished someday, hopefully relatively soon.
