| of a presence behind me in this house. Probably my imagination. My boyfriend took a look at the attic the next day. There were no slates missing and just the usual draft. He said the wind I described couldn't happen unless a slate was missing from two opposite sides of the roof and he couldn't imagine a wind indoors being strong enough to lift the weight of the wood. If it was just wind, he said at that strength and with attic open every door upstairs should have slammed. There was no wind, not even a draft upstairs when it happened and nothing slammed. | |||||||||||||||||||

| I had an unusual, yet somewhat unnerving "dream" recently. I was in a car with my husband. We were travelling through beautiful landscapes. I must have been really travelling (astrally) because all of the scenery seemed familiar. Yet, I have never actually been to most of the places I went to in this dream. Anyhow there we were, enjoying the beautiful mountain scapes, gorgeous waterways and lakes. The fields of wheat were gold on colour. I then noticed my husband starting to drift to the left of me. He continued to fade to tthe left until I was the only one remaining. I continued my travels. I continued towards a beautiful golden sunset in the mountains when suddenly I began to hear whispers. I couldn't make out anything they were saying. So then I asked these voices to "speak louder, I can't hear what your saying." I continued on my travels, then I heard the whispers again. This time I was able to make that there were definitely 3 or 4 different voices. Still I couldn't make out what they were saying. So I said again, " I can't hear you...speak louder!" This occurred a third time. By now I had stopped travelling in the car and I stood or rather sort-of floated in the mountains somewhere. At that point I was able to hear faint words...but I still was unable to hear the message. I repeated for for the last time, "hey, speak up I can't hear you!" I began to feel myself waking up at this point, not quite abruptly. I felt someone touching my right ear. They were grasping the upper ear lobe and pulling my ear back as if in an attempt to "open" up my ear, to which I then heard a very loud sarcastic whisper...."Now can you hear us?". I woke up still suffering from sleep paralysis and I had to concentrate on moving my body. Once I was able to I woke up and stared into the darkness, still feeling as though someone was there in the room with me. I snuggled up against my husband who responded in kind and I eventually was able to get back to sleep. But the sensation of being touched by someone in my "dream" (perhaps the other-side?) still lingers with me to this day. | |||||||||||||||||||

| My father David ---- ------, committed suicide at age 28 on June 2nd, 2000, 15 days before my birthday. I was almost 9 at the time, and didn't fully comprehend at the time that I would never see him again. It took me several years to accept his death, and my mother often sent me to psychiatrists. However, before I tell my story, I want you to know that I am a very intelligent, logical person and have no mental illnesses, so I have told this story to few others to avoid people thinking I'm crazy. August 3rd, 2004, I was at the local pool by myself, swimming. It was very cloudy, and was going on towards nightfall. I was considering going back home, so I swam the length of the pool once more, and started climbing out. Somehow my foot slipped or didn't grip the edge of the pool, and I fell back into the pool, twisting at an awkward angle that made my head slam right down into the wall beneath the water. I felt water go down my throat into my lungs, and I thought to myself, I'm going ot die... I drifted to the bottom of the pool, completely incapacitated by the blow to my head. Then, just before I lost consciousness, a bright light flashed in front of my eyes, seemingly, and I saw the outline of a man's head. I woke up in after God-knows-how-long, lying on the concrete next to the pool. There was absolutely no one in sight, and the surface of the pool was completely undisturbed except for the normal rippling. I sat up, and noticed something around my neck. I grabbed at them and held them up to the light, and they had my Dad's name on them. He had been in the Navy as an officer for several years when I was still a baby. I can honestly say that I was perfectly calm at this point, even though I had just had my first near-death experience as well as my first supernatural experience. As I sat there, fiddling with the dogtags, I felt a warmth wrap itself around me, as if someone were embracing me from behind. I knew my Dad was there with me. I spoke aloud to the silence, "Thank you". I felt the presence get slightly warmer, and I felt love, the kind I had felt from my Dad when he had been alive. Now, for the follow-up to the above story.
