I answered in the affirmative and after inquiring again if she was in pain, I went on my way. Several days later on the 11pm to 7am shift it was this lady's time to pass on. A close family member was at her bedside keeping watch, but became concerned as it was getting onto 6:30am and the children needed to get the school bus. This person asked me if it would be ok if he ducked out for a half hour. I told him that I couldn't say but that her condition had been stable all night. At 7am the day shift came on and I gave report to my day shift counterpart and together we walked down to the patients room and found that she had indeed expired. Now here is the strange part. Upon entering the room the scent of roses was over powering, so sweet and so strong as if there were bouquets and bouquets of them. But there were none. Nor did this lady have any plants or lotions or colognes of any type. At the time I thought this was very odd until I told a friend about it. My friend is Roman Catholic and she immediately said it was St-Therese. I have read a biography of this little saint and about her promise to send down roses upon th world. This saint is also approached by people who are suffering and want to "offer it up"--a concept to me that as a Protestant seems unusual. I have never forgotten this and have since taken care of several more individuals with this particular cancer whose agonies, even with hospice titrated medication, were terrible to behold. I do not know but if my lady with the rosary was transcending her unbelievable pain by offering it up and was rewarded with the scent of roses at the time of her death.
The Haunting at My Mothers House

Hello my name is Anita and what I am about to tell you is true.

My Mother has been living in her home for over 30 years and has been visited by the unknown many times. I remember as a child that I was afraid of the houseand that I did not like being left alone in the house. When I was left alone, I felt watched as if someone was around the corner spying on me. I often thought that this was my imagination. My Mom complained about hearing music at night. Thinking one of us kids left our radio on, she would get out of bed and check only to discover that we had not left them on. She never found out where the music was coming from. Shortly after the radio incident we often heard footsteps throughout the house and knocking on the walls. My Father was the first to hear the footsteps. That night we awoke to hear someone walking around the house. He jumped out of bed, grabbed his bat from behind the door and searched the house high and low. But he could not explain the footsteps he had heard. My siblings and I often heard the crying of a baby in our basement and a woman screaming. We tried to research the house but without luck. We never found any info on it's history. I believe this was strange. My Mom has had some very strange experiences herself.  One evening my Mother went to sleep downstairs s it was too hot for her upstairs. She went down to our spare room. She at first felt uneasy as she entered it.  She felt like she had walked in on someone, yet no one was there. She shook it off as an overactive imagination and laid down to get some sleep. An hour later she woke up when someone or something grabbed her arm. She ran out of the room screaming for my Father because she thought that someone had broken into the house. But a thorough search revealed that no one was there. This same experiencehas been felt by others over the years. Also her renters would complain of seeing shadow of a man walking around in their suite. This frightened some of her renters. One even left in the middle of the night. My siblings and I never liked the basement. We often felt watched down there as well as a feeling of dread. Whatever it was down there was evil. Even parts of the basement seemed darker, as if something was standing there watching us. My Mom and I also saw a man walking down the street dresed in black waving at us. We did not recognize this man. So I locked the door but continued watching him. He turned to and walked up our sidewalk waving at us to come to him. I felt that something was not right with this man. He stood at the front stairs, staring at us. I screamed in the name of God I rebuke you! Just as I said that he was gone. We don't know what he was or even who he was but he was not of this world. The feelings in the house are still there and renters still complain about their unexplained visitor.

This story happened in 'Cheavely' near 'Newbery' about 21 years ago when I was about 5. It IS a TRUE story....When I was young, I lived with my parents, brother and sister in a small four bedroom council house that had never seemed to have any sort of paranormal activity before. Every summer we would go on holiday with our caravan and very best friends and their caravan. This year was no different. It was the summer and we had all left our house with friends in tow and headed to 'Cornwall'. We were gone for 2 weeks. We all had a really fantastic time. When we came back everything seemed fine until a few days later my mum ran into an old friend of hers in the village shop. They were very pleased to see eachother and her friend asked my mum where she was living now. My mum told her she was living in the same house as before in Cheavely. The woman then asked if my mum had, had people staying at her house while we had gone on holiday? My mum was a little worried and asked why? Her friend then said not more than a week ago she had called to see my mum, not knowing she had gone on holiday. She said that an old lady had answered the door and said there was no Sue or Pete (my mum and dad) living in at that address....As soon as my mum got home she then questioned the neighbors, who had been feeding our animals while we were away and asked if they had seen anything or heard anything? They told my mum that a few times they had gone round the house and there had been empty milk bottles on the front step. Then another day they found the front door had been left open but as they could see that nothing in the house had been moved or taken, they just put it down to to their clumsiness and that they forgot to lock the door. A week then passed and a few more little stories started coming to light. A few people said they had seen the caravan parked in our drive and then a few more people had seen an elderly couple going >>>>>>
