The following is something that happened to me after I moved back home from Hawaii where my ex-husband and I were stationed.

It was about 10 o'clock at night and I was sitting in the recliner in the corner of my ex-mother-in-laws home, doing a word search puzzle. As I was searching for my next word, I felt a cool breeze blow right through me and then come out to the left of me. I told Mom the next day, what had happened and she told me maybe Pop (this is what we called my ex-husband's Dad who passed away years ago) was paying me a visit, afterall, I WAS sitting in his favorite chair!!

We were driving at nighttime. A male friend and two female friends and I were in the back of the car with my friend Stacey, my male friend Alex was driving and my other female friend Toni was in the front. This happened when I was about 16 so two years ago. We were going for a drive about midnight; we were driving to a place called Currumbin Rock Pools very windy roads that sort of thing. The road was wet and Alex was driving over the speed limit. All of a sudden Stacey said watch out; Alex slowed right down then he said when you said that I was just about to lose control of the car *she said I had a bad feeling*. All of a sudden I became very cold and found it very hard to breathe. It felt as though someone was sitting on me and as though I was blinded and all I could see was ways in which my friends were dying. Then I was in a house and there was a long staircase. On the walls were photos of my friend Stacey's family and other people I didn't know. I heard a man's voice coming from the top of the stairs. He had thick glasses and was very tall. He was about to walk down the stairs when he grabbed his chest with his hand. He looked right at me and stammered "help". He fell down the stairs. I couldn't move and all of a sudden I was pulled out of the room and pulled back to where we were in the car; words repeated in my head, *truck slow down*. Alex was speeding faster because everything I saw I was apparently saying out loud. Stacey was crying and she said how did you know how...I screamed slow down there's a truck and all of a sudden a truck came speeding round the corner.  By this time I was thrown back into my mind. Something kept telling me Toni was evil and she was standing in front of me smiling, it wasn't a nice smile it was evil. Then I flashed into a hospital. There was an old women lying in bed. She was so pale and old and she had a ventilator round her head helping her breathe. Someone said to me, it's Stacey. She smiled at me and said, *Maria so good to see you. I have cancer and I wanted to see you before I passed on*. Again I was pulled back into the reality of what was happening in the car. I could hear children screaming and the sound of cars breaking. I looked at Stacey and she was crying telling me to stop saying these awful things. My mind flooded with friends and their families dying and how they would die. Now I was fully back and Toni was in the front laughing, Stacey was balling her eyes out, holding my hand and saying to please stop. Alex was yelling and helping her to breathe. After I came out of it, my friends told me how I was saying all these things about people dying and Stacey looked at me and said you saw my grandfather, how did you know what he looked like and how he died. I was coming to breathing clearly, everyone seemed so shaken up but Toni. I was so cold and just couldn't speak and was badly shaken up that night ended with being taken home. I only ever spoke to Stacey about it. And whats above is everything that had happened. I've never had an experience that bad since and glad that I haven't.

I have had an NDE. I was 5 at the time. I got hit by a car and I basically died then. I suffered with broken legs, my kidney was very badly damaged and I had petechial hemmorages in the frontal region of the brain which was the biggest worry since I was only a small 5 years old. I was rushed to hospital and kept alive in ICU, pumped full of morphine to keep me going.I was in a coma for two and a half weeks. During that time, I remember a dream I had that I was on a plane and I was controlling it but not by steering it but by eating certain fruit would make it turn left or right. There was a lady there that looked like my sister but was like my Mother telling me what I had to do. On awakening, apparently I couldn't remember thing but I kept going on about the dream. Written in my Mothers diary is the full account of what happened during this ordeal. They never thought I would recover my memory of people but I did. I was in hospital for four months and had two operations on my kidney. About five years after after the accident I was looking through an old photo album of Mums and saw a picture of the lady that was in my dream. I pointed it out to my Mother and she looked a little scared. Then she told me that the lady was her sister who had died by being hit by a truck driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel and drove into her car. She died about two years before I was born. These days I suffer some memory loss but nothing major. I know a lot about life and only being 17. I know a lot more than people twice my age, although I haven't experienced some things.
