| For beginners, it is important to have a quiet time and place to begin. Concentration is not required, rather relaxation and an open mind is. You must have your pen and paper with your hand poised to write (or you may use your computer keyboard as I do). Then, you ask to have a protective shield around you at all times (which can keep the earthbounds out). You must be very forceful on the point that you will speak to no other than your guide(s). I cannot say how long it will take you to achieve contact. This is a different experience for everyone, but it is surely worth it, if you are successful in it. Patience is very important, so try, try again. It may take time (or none at all) to hone in on their signal(s). |
| Why You Should Not Channel Through Automatic Writing |
| There are certain reasons why one should not try automatic writing. Please consider the following: #1. When one is younger than 16 years of age. A person is too impressionable at this age. Also chemical changes in a person of this age can alter results. This is a general age guidline. #2. When one is seeking power. This is a negative pursuit. #3. When one wants answers to questions they wish to use against others. (true guides will refuse to answer these questions in any case) #4. One who is willing to follow what the spirits tell them. YOU MUST LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE. (true guides will not tell you what to do, rather they will always focus on choice) #5. One should not attempt channeling if they do not have a respect for the process and the spirits who they speak with. You must be polite, be clear. Do not lie. (true guides will know the difference) |
| Why One Should Channel Through Automatic Writing |
| One should channel when they are trying to better understand their place in the universe. It is appropriate to seek answers while remaining skeptical of information. The goal of the automatic writer, is to get in touch with an aspect outside the everyday, mundane life. Channeling is a process, which gives you a wider perspective of all life on this planet and beyond. A channeler must be curious and interested in bettering themselves and perhaps others by their experience. |
| General Experiences I Have Had With Automatic Writing |
| My experiences with automatic writing have been interesting. I have found out some information about such subjects as: past lives, my guides names, other spirits,family members and about my life (and others) in general. Things that they have told me have come true. Dates given to me for instance have been given with later confirmation. Other languages have come through such as: Cherokee Japanese and Greek. Positive side effects have included becoming more psychic. |

| When You Can't Seem To Automatic Write |
| What happens when you can't automatic write, no matter how hard you try? Be prepared for this to be a possibility. If you have no success channeling in any way, it is important to not take it too personally. Channeling is really a talent. Some people are adept at, say, painting or singing and some are not. So, sometimes it comes down to natural ability or a lack thereof. If you cannot channel, then keep researching and keep learning about spirituality, the supernatural and the like. Find enjoyment where you can. Don't get discouraged. |
