A Phantom Encounter
My first time seeing Phantom was in March of 2000. I was in London on a school trip. I picked Phantom to go to because I knew the music and I had heard it was good. That was the understatement of the year! We had a few delays leaving our hotel so we arrived at the theatre 15 minutes before curtain! I had to sit by myself but I didn't mind because I was front row balcony, they were great seats! As soon as the show started I was mesmerized. It was amazing. My heartbroke three times during the show. The first time was during the rooftop scene when Phantom has heard everything and he sings his little bit. The second time was after Point of No Return when Phantom sings "Say you'll share with me ...". My thoughts exactly were, "Oh, he only wants to be loved!" The third time was at the very end when Phantom sings "You alone can make my song take flight. It's over now, the Music of the Night". It was one of the best nights of my life and I cannot wait to see it again!
