Hailing from Virginia this present darkness has currently released a few tracks on mp3.com making their hardcore, metal roots known they have compiled so many different elements to complete this quite interesting sound. With the song BRING A KNIFE TO A GUNFIGHT they show their dominating metal roots with the horrific screams from front man Tim but currently this line up has changed and his time had ended therefore taking over the leading vocal talent we have Myke Terry. With more than an earful of delightful screams and insane guitar riffs the song ends with a notable breakdown and quite obviously while they are playing fists are swinging. This band definitely brought their musical talent to the table. They brought every element from vocal screams to guitar riffs to metal breakdowns and at moments it seemed like they even surprised me. They didn�t do the traditional hardcore double bass they incorporated it at the perfect time. Not over doing it but making it known. They had a good way of timing everything. Which is good since this is demo material they impressed me and I would have to say if I saw them live I would have kept watching.
Now track two titled TIME AND AGAIN this song begins with the intensity of screams and fast paced drumbeats. Okay this song was impeccable but I think lyrically this song was very emotional and it makes his pain become something that you can also relate to. Which at times is the purpose of creating music. Despite the raging guitar parts and mind numbing screams the structure of the song is phenomenal. At times it might seem a little repetitive but right when your about to think that these deep screams come out of the wood works and they entwine two different types of screams and form somewhat of a bridge. And they end the song with the classy hardcore breakdown
