He saw the wildflowers sitting on the tables. Everything looked brand new. The floor had been scrubbed and polished and the couch and chairs had been covered with a light blue material. The house definitely looked better. In fact after seeing the work Corley had accomplished in two weeks, Toby felt a little guilty for letting the house go for so long. Just because his father had hated it didn’t mean he had to. He took one last look around the living room before picking up his bag and heading upstairs. He would tell Corley tomorrow how good of a job he had done. He noted all of the changes upstairs as he walked through the loft to the hall.

You could actually tell what the portraits were that lined the hall. He walked into his room and smelled the fresh scent of lemons mixed with lavender. Apparently Corley had the whole house cleaned. He threw his shirt on the bed and pulled off his jeans. He stretched his arms, and noticed a few aches in the corded muscles in his back. He was tempted just to fall on his bed and sleep for a week, but he was grungy from the drive home, so he walked to the bathroom and pulled the door open. He was astonished to see the woman of his wildest fantasies lying in the tub. Was she asleep? Was she real? Maybe he was so exhausted he was hallucinating.
